Bio

Gabby Madden is a visual artist based in New York City.  She has an exploratory and experimental studio practice focusing on mixed media oil paint and needle felted wool.  She uses her hands to throughout the process of making her work to build texture into the paintings.  The pieces almost become sculptural as you can follow the movement of the hands within the work.  Madden's process is exposed within the paintings yet the texture still creates a mysterious space for contemplation. Gabby Madden continues to develop her practice within the realm of abstract landscape painting.
